Jio offer today: New Reliance Jio postpaid plan rolled out; check out benefits

Reliance Jio has launched a new postpaid plan, starting May 15, to facilitate its customers to make international calls, along with introducing International Calling and International Roaming tariffs for all the Jio customers. The new Jio postpaid plans will include unlimited India plan at Rs 199 per month, international calling at 50p per minute, and international roaming starting at Rs 2, a company statement revealed. 

Customers will not be required to pay security deposit to avail the international service. Under the international calling plan, customers will be charged 50p/min to make calls to USA or Canada, Rs 2/min for Bangladesh, China, France and UK. However, they have to Rs 6/min for calling in countries like Israel, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Sweden.
Under its international roaming plan, users will reportedly have to pay Rs 2 each for voice (per minute), data (per MB) and SMS (per SMS) services for nations including USA, UAE, New Zealand, Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Italy and Sri Lanka.

 The report further stated that those user who already have unlimited plans, Jio is allowing them to pay Rs 575 to get unlimited voice (local calls in international destination + calls to India), unlimited SMS and unlimited data (250mb/day and thereafter unlimited at 64 kbps). Under this plan, the validity period stands for a day only, while under Rs 2875 and Rs 5751 plans, users will enjoy the same benefits but for seven and 30-day validity.

These customers will stay always-on service and enjoy the privilege wherever they go around the globe.
JioPostpaid plan at Rs 199: Jio offers unlimited calling benefits, free roaming, and 25GB data for a month under this plan. Also, international roaming activation is free of cost.
Conclusion: On comparing all the plans, you find that Jio is the cheapest of all. Also, you get more data benefit from Jio and there's no cost involved in the activation of international roaming. Idea here comes out to be the most expensive of all with Rs 2000 security deposit each for international roaming and monthly security deposit.

The LumiWatch Runs Android and Turns Your Arm Into A Touchscreen

Six researchers at Carnegie Mellon University have published a paper detailing a wearable device called LumiWatch that not only projects information onto the arm, but also lets the user interact with the projections. The first prototype of the LumiWatch is said to come with a 15 lumen scanned-laser projector that uses red, blue and green lasers. The projection is said to be bright enough for outdoor usage. According to the researchers, the device would cost around $600 if it was brought to the market at this stage, but it's still only a prototype, so don’t expect to wear one on your wrist any time soon.
